Barilla Plus Pasta

I really was not ever planning on writing reviews on food but I thought this pasta was so good that it deserved a review. Last night we tried the Barilla Plus rotini. The Barilla Plus pastas come in penne, elbows, farfalle, rotini, angel hair, spaghetti, and thin spaghetti. These whole grain pastas contain protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and fiber.
By now you're probably thinking that these taste terrible. That was my thought as well. Most healthier pastas do. However, you could not even tell that these were any different taste wise. I was very very impressed with these and they are what we will be buying from now on.

Reach Access Flosser

It's been awhile. I apologize. I'll try to get back into the swing of things. I'm also going to add an option to sign up for email updates if you'd like to do that.

If you have a strong gag reflex like myself the Reach Access Flosser is the way to go. By now, I'm sure you've seen these before.

When I first used the Reach Access Flosser, I was so excited to be able to floss my teeth without gagging/vomiting, that I immediately flossed them again. It was that good! It's lost some of it's appeal now that I use it every day. :-)

The Reach Access Flosser is designed like a toothbrush to allow you to get to the hard to reach places in your mouth, instead of having to stick your fingers in your mouth to floss. The floss comes in snap on disposable heads that are easy to get on and off but do not come off while using it. The floss comes in regular or mint flavored (go with the mint!)

Check out www.reachbrand.com for more information.

RemindMyPet.com

On the 10th of each month, my dog Charlie is supposed to have his heartworm prevention medication. However, with my busy schedule and the fact that my dog has found his place near the bottom of my totem pole of priorities, it slipped my mind constantly. I started using the stickers that came with the medication and putting them on the calendar. Then I would at least remember within the week to give it to him. But sometimes I would find myself wondering if I actually had given it or not. Yes, I am that pathetic and scatter-brained! Eventually I stumbled upon RemindMyPet.com and it was such a blessing! If it wasn't for this program, my poor dog would never get his medication.

With RemindMyPet.com you simply register your animal(s) and their medication(s) and you receive email alerts on the day you are supposed to give it to them. On the 10th of every month, I am thankful for this service as I never would have remembered the medication on my own. It has been a lifesaver for both me and my dog, Charlie.

If you have animals that take medications I definitely recommend trying out this free service. Please spread the word!!!

Huggies Little Swimmers Diapers

When we first tried Huggies Little Swimmers diapers, we thought they were great. After all, the point of a swim diaper is to not absorb all the water and therefore not bulk up and sag on baby. But a diaper that does not absorb is simply that -- a diaper that does not absorb. Thanks to my incompetent parenting of leaving the pile of dry clothes and diaper at home when we went to the pool, we found out just how true that was.

I put my son in a Little Swimmers (simply because my husband had bought a package and I was trying to use them up) and we headed off to the pool. The diaper worked great, or so I thought, and when it was time to leave I stripped him down and dried him off, only to realize that I had forgot to bring his clothes with him. Luckily my mom had an extra Little Swimmers in her beach bag so we put him in that for the ride home. We spent some time at my parents house and when we were ready to leave for home -- less than an hour later -- my son was dripping all over the floor. The diaper didn't hold squat.

We quickly put him in yet another dry Little Swimmers diaper for the ride back to my house -- around 10 minutes -- and by the time we got home, his diaper, though not dripping, felt wet on the outside. I simply put a cloth diaper cover over top of him so we could have dinner before his bath. By the time we had eaten dinner, he was again leaking through the Little Swimmers underneath his cover.

So imagine what we are swimming in at the pool. I think I'll stick to cloth from now on! Not only do they not bulk up in water but they also DO NOT LEAK urine into the pool -- which is the most important part of a swim diaper, don't you think??

When I began this blog, I had intended to only do positive reviews on products that I used and liked. However, I feel strongly about this and felt that it needed to be shared.

Nuby Easy Grip Utensils

My son is at the age where he wants to feed himself. The Nuby Easy Grip Spoon and Fork Set has been the easiest for him to use.

The chunky, soft, contoured handle makes it easy for him to grip and the unique shape makes it easy for him to get the food into his mouth instead of all down the front of him. The spoon is deep enough that he can easily scoop up what he wants as well. These are always the first utensils we grab out of the drawer for him when they are clean.

Additional bonuses about these utensils: They are BPA free and they are dishwasher safe :-)
You can purchase a 4-pack (2 spoons and 2 forks) for around $4.99.

Visit nuby.com for more information.

Veria Organic Lip Balm

I'm a huge chap stick fanatic. I never go anywhere without a tube with me. Recently I was able to try out the Veria Vanilla Organic Lip Balm. This is quite possibly my favorite yet!!

This lip balm goes on very smooth and is the perfect thickness. It moistures my lips but doesn't leave them feeling dry moments later like many chapsticks. Plus it smells heavenly! It is also USDA Organic so I know I am not putting harsh chemicals onto my lips.

I never leave home without it now!!

Sterilite Ultra Wheeled Hamper

As someone with back problems, I am always looking for ways to make my life easier in that regard. Laundry was always a chore, especially when I would forget to have my husband lug our giant wicker hamper from the bedroom to the laundry room. Not only was it awkward to carry, it was also heavy. Then we happened upon the Sterilite Ultra Wheeled Hamper, on accident, and it was love at first sight. We bought it immediately and never looked back.

This hamper has wheels so you don't have to carry it and has a retractable handle, much like many suitcases have. It glides easily over carpet, wood floors, and tile (I know because I go over all three from the bedroom to the laundry room!) It is lightweight and has enough holes in the side that your clothes don't start to stink at the bottom of the hamper, but the holes aren't so big that socks and other small items go missing. The dimensions are: 21" L x 13 3/4" W x 28 3/8" H.

Visit Sterilite.com for more information. This product can be purchased at Meijer, Target, or Amazon, among other places.
